Wii Fit

How I love doing aerobics in my livingroom! It really is tiring and FUN.

Must admit that it is more fun than going to the gym. Love that I can actually see the time I spent and results.

Indian Jones for Wii

Guilty, I didn't watch all the Indiana Jones movies...

Lego Indiana Jones

At first I thought that maybe it would be too much of a kiddy game to buy, but I was definitely surprised. That is, until we started playing Indiana Jones (Lego) for Wii.

2 Players - yay! Finally a Wii game that 2 players can play and have equal responsibility and power - except for the fact that Indiana Jones carries around a very handy whip.
Player 2 gets to play with a variety of characters. Female characters punch harder and jump higher :)

Graphics is good enough.
Storyline is interesting.
The little objectives challenging, might not be suitable for very young children as it might be a little too difficult.

I love that the little men and objects I beat up turn into coins/tresures and lego blocks!

Quantum of Solace, Bond 007

Fancy yourself being a secret agent? Or a fan of Bond 007? Then Quantum of Solace is definitely the game to buy this Christmas!

It is not the most tactical around, but being Bond has its own rewards. You get to shoot, clobber and run around as Bond in different locations. Sometimes your objective might not be that clear, but you will receive communications throughout each task until completion.

Now... I'm Bond, Jamie Bond :)

Wii becoming the choice of 30 somethings

It is official, after we got our Wii, we invited friends over for some serious gaming... and now they have a Wii each.

I think Wii stands out above the other gaming consoles because of the real interaction you can get with the sports and fitness games. There is something to be said for being able to play tennis in your living room and feel the pain afterwards...

Simms

I LOVE SIMMS. I always loved Simms. They are so cute and I love it when they say "soen soen".

Early Christmas gifts rock! I started playing my Sim game and it really is entertaining. The characters are the usual glassy eyed cuties and speak gibberish.

The missions aren't that difficult, but I'm not complaining. I play Wii to relax.

Mario... Galaxy

Wiiiiiiiiiii! That's what I want to say everytime I let Mario jump. Wiiiiiiiiiii!

At first I found it quite difficult to adjust to the 3D word where you run all over and upside down, but I'm getting quite good at it.

I must admit that I played Mario way back on the TV - you know, those consoles that took cartridges... Nintendo really stepped up the gaming experience with the Wii.

The graphics are really awesome... smooth. Water looks really realistic.

What I love most about Mario Galaxy:
Getting my bee wings and flying!
Climbing up flower stems!

PS. You do need a nunchuck plugged into your Wii remote to play Mario.

Wii games for sale

I cannot lie, Wii games are expensive at almost R500 a pop, but when you start playing it and get lost in a new world...

The Wii comes with sports games: tennis, bowling, golf, baseball and boxing. You can use your standard Wii remote to play these games (boxing requires a nunchuck). If however you like goodies you can buy anything from boxing gloves, rackets, fishing rods and pots n pans to enhance your Wii experience.

It's a world of Wii

I'm new to Wii - and gaming in general. I usually don't play games, but the Wii, now that is another story.

I wasn't too keen on getting a gaming system, but I succumbed to the Wii for its interactivity and exercise games.

My first week playing tennis had me nurturing sore shoulder muscles!
